This is a concept application that would allow users to modify the arrangement of interactable buttons. With the exception of some lower end phones, almost every operating system has added some form of gestures to their functionality suite, rendering certain buttons on most music players to be useless. This application aims to take advantage of that and attempt to simplify the music player experience into something that gives you what the user wants, rather than what the developer wants.

To begin with, the forward and back buttons are obsolete. Even if a phone doesn’t support left and right swiping gestures, the application would allow them to go back and forward between songs simply by swiping the album art. The controls have been replaced with a modular system, allowing the user to customize what controls they’d like to use. Going into a menu to access “add to playlist” is a thing of the past, so long as the user wills it so.
